Saif Y. Ishoof, Esq. is the Vice President of the Office of Engagement. He took the helm of the office in 2015 and is responsible for leading, developing and growing FIU's development and coordination of triple win partnerships at the local, state, national and international levels with businesses, leaders, social enterprises, and public partners.
Keith Peters
Principal, Gator Run Elementary School
Keith Peters is a public education champion and a strong advocate of bringing risk-taking into our schools. Currently in his 17th year as an educator, he serves as Principal of Gator Run Elementary in Weston, Florida. His school is known for breaking new ground with innovative practices, such as Genius Hour, BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), 1:1 learning, and flexible learning spaces.
Keith gave a popular TEDx Talk entitled "Our Schools Should Teach Kids to Fail". He has also served as a member of the State of Florida’s Commissioner’s Leadership Academy and is currently part of Leadership Florida, a statewide community of leaders actively engaged in understanding and serving in Florida.
A passionate supporter of the use of social media in education, he regularly gives presentations on the importance of using tools such as Twitter and Instagram in schools and classrooms.
